Residents encouraged to sign up for e-news updates

Gloucester County’s website has a special e-news feature called "Gloucester Connection" which encourages residents to subscribe to various county departments and agencies to receive e-news announcements, alerts and information.

http://www.hh-missioncamp.orgGloucester spokesperson Christi Lewis said citizens may subscribe to the following: board of supervisors, central purchasing, commissioner of the revenue, community information, emergency alerts, emergency management, human resources/employment opportunities, parks, recreation and tourism, planning, public library and treasurer’s office to get information about public meetings, requests for proposals, volunteer needs, community happenings, classes/activities/special events, job openings, tax and payment deadlines, and local community resources.

Lewis said a community resource directory is also available on the website which provides residents with information on over 450 government, school, community and church organizations in Gloucester.

Information on the proposed FY 2011 county budget and the dates for the public hearing for citizen comments and planned work sessions is now also available, Lewis said.
